The Church Membership shall be open to all those, of legal age, who show an appropriate interest in the Church and accept the 7 Principles of Spiritualism.
Membership Advantages:
- You will receive “ownership” and a greater “commitment” to the work of the church;
- You have the opportunity to be a part of the decision making process at member meetings that help shape the future of the Church;
- It gives you the opportunity to participate and vote at the AGM with the option to be on ballot to join the Church Board;
- You have the opportunity to attend workshops/classes/special events at a reduced “member’s” rate;
- We hold one or two “Members Only” events yearly;
- You’ll have use of our Lending Library;
- By being a member you will receive a Tax Receipt at the end of the year for your Sunday Service and other Love Offerings;
- Your membership fee helps with the costs associated with keeping our doors open i.e., rent and insurance payments, purchasing supplies for events and socials etc.
PLEASE NOTE: You do NOT need to be a member of the LSC in order to join us for our weekly services or to participate in our classes, workshops, or other events.
Membership is $20 payable yearly September 1st. Current members should renew their membership no later than October 1st in order to have voting rights at our annual AGM held in October. New Members will earn voting rights after one year in good standing as a paid member. For instance if you are to join as a member in September you would not have voting rights at the AGM held the next month in October but are welcome to be at the meeting and have your opinions heard. The following year, upon membership renewal you will have voting rights at the following AGM.
